Job Summary

Responsible to prepare beverages requested by customers according to the lounge procedures while providing a safe environment for guests by serving responsibly.  Also provide and assist co-workers at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort & Spa a pleasant, enjoyable and special experience for each of our guests.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides attentive and friendly service to guests.  Address the guest by name whenever possible.
  • Takes orders from guests, bar waiter/waitress.
  • Possess knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors.
  • Have full knowledge of entire menu and explain specials and/or restaurant promotions to create guest awareness.
  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Serves wine and draft or bottled beer.
  • Know all Oregon liquor laws and abide by them.
  • Complete all daily paperwork including inventory, requisitions, sign in sheets,
  • Be willing to help the cocktail servers and answer any questions that they may have
  • Clean lounge, tables, back bar, and storerooms free from debris and as scheduled to keep the environment sanitary and pleasantly presentable to guests.
  • Close cocktail server out, print reports, count cash drawer, process visa’s, close room charges, tip servers out, count bank, complete nightly audit.
  • Lock all coolers, storerooms, and lounge doors.
  • Take all guests orders, enter them in Micros or POS system, and expedite the orders from the kitchen in a presentable and timely manner.
  • Promptly present guest check, receive payment and provide change with receipt to guests.Make coffee, espresso hot chocolate, etc. as required.
  • Help clear tables when guests have completed their meals and after leaving their tables.Complete tip report from sales report after each shift.
  • Ability to transport up to 50 pounds through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand and work on a continuous basis throughout the shift. 
  • Provide a safe environment for the guests.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and days including all holidays and weekends.
  • Attend all employee meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school Diploma, or G.E.D.
  • One year experienced preferred.
  • Possess or ability to obtain Food Handlers Card, OLCC permit, and knowledge of Health Code Regulations required.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
